HCC Committees

The Harvard Club of Chicago’s Board of Directors oversees the many committees responsible for the work of the club. All alumni are encouraged and welcome to join HCC committees.

Committees are a great way to get involved with HCC, to get to know our directors, and to see what areas most interest you. In addition, serving on a committee is often a stepping-stone to the HCC Board. Our Nominating Committee regularly selects director candidates from those alumni who are active on our committees.

Awards Dinner Committee

• Plans the Annual Awards Dinner, including selection of the awardee(s) and speaker(s)

 Community Service Committee

• Plans the club’s local community service initiatives such as Early College Awareness, our Jobs/Internships program and CCDOC Tutoring

Education Committee

• Manages the HCC Prize Book program

Recent Grads Committee

• Plans and hosts events for recent graduates from all Harvard programs

Marketing & Communications Committee

• Manages the HCC newsletter, website, and social media 

Membership Committee

• Builds HCC membership and runs membership drives

 Programs Committee

• Organizes and runs HCC’s events and programs including co-sponsored events

 Schools & Scholarships Committee

• Runs the Harvard College alumni interviewing program, liaison program, and interviewing workshops
