The Harvard Club of Chicago is invited to hear star violinist Janet Sung (‘95) and Steinway Artist John Milbauer (‘92, MPA ‘20) in recital on Friday, February 20.
THE ARTISTS:
Janet Sung, a child prodigy turned professional musician, has performed worldwide to critical acclaim. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of Chamber Music Chicago and serves as the Artistic Director of the renowned Meadowmount School of Music in New York.
John Milbauer has performed in dozens of countries on four continents, was hailed as “A virtuoso of the first magnitude” by France’s Republique du Centre, and earned an annual American Record Guide “Critic’s Choice” award for his recording of piano music by Debussy, Adams, and Bartók.
Both Sung and Milbauer attended The Juilliard School after Harvard and subsequently met at DePaul University, where Sung is Professor of Violin and Milbauer is Dean of the School of Music. The program includes sonatas of Beethoven, Schumann, and Ravel.
